Why can't I get a connection on my dell desktop with my clearwire modem?
I tried to create a connection on my dell with my clearwire modem, but I couldn't connect to the internet. There's only one place to put the cable into. It works fine on my laptop and I also use my router on my laptop to. My dell is a 2400, is it too old to have a high speed internet connection? If it isn't, can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Why can't I get a connection on my dell desktop with my clearwire modem?if i'm not mistaken, your 2400 has an integrated ethernet card in it. Check that it is working by going to your device manager, through control panel.... maybe you might need to reinstall driver. If it's that, go to dell site to see if you can download driver for it.Why can't I get a connection on my dell desktop with my clearwire modem?I have Clearwire now known as just Clear. The modem connects to the router, the router connects to the laptop. I had to move my modem around until it would pick up a good signal before I could get mine to work and stay stable. I looked at the specs for the Dell 2400, you should be fine with this. You may want to open menus and then open network connections and make sure it is enabled.jayco pearson prentice hall
