What Dell laptop is the best for a student?

As a student what laptop would serve me the best? The Dell XPS 13, Dell XPS 16, or Dell Studio 15?What Dell laptop is the best for a student?I agree with the XPS13 if it truly is for 'school' and only 'school.' But the reality of the situation is that you will probably use it all the time to message your skank college girlfriend with crummy apps like AOL messenger "LOL what are you doing" "LOL I'm studying LOL LOL" Then there are all the illegal mp3s and movies you'll want to see and listen to. And if you are doing any kind of plagiarism from wikipedia while writing a paper the 13" inch screen is going to really put a cramp in your situation.



Dell is a great brand to buy, I rip apart laptops all day long and they are in general a quality machine. I see most NEW Dells because the Dell warranty service is so awful they are begging to pay for good service. So, that much is true. But, most NEW Dells don't have problems. Say a small prayer tonight for the few poor souls that are screwed and that you will not become one of them.



My advice, if it is going to be a legitimate school machine. Get a net book, you will save hundreds of dollars you can spend on women and beer.



If you are trying to get a desktop replacement, go with the bigger screen. That way you can have wikipedia open in one window and cut and paste it over to your cracked copy of Office XP in a window right next to it. None of them. If you're going to be using this as a student, you are probably going to want to take it to class every now and again. Can you imagine carrying around a 1200 dollar 15 lb electronic device to your classes?



Get a cheap small one. It really depends on what your budget is. Dell's not very friendly on people's budgets, %26amp; I would recommend you going to Best Buy. I just got a $300 Satellite after my Dell Adamo broke.

If anything happens to it, it's only $300 compared to over a thousand.

I don't own a dell but i have several friends who own a dell laptop and they do like it but they are annoyed with the frequent problems they have. My roomate and another friend sent their laptops back and forth to the manufacturer(or company?) to get it fixed.

If you're going to carry it around campus all day, get the XPS 13. It has the smallest footprint and it's the lightest, with similar functionalities as the other two.
