How do i get a dell desktop to reboot?

I have a dell desktop that i got from a friend and it has some problem with its start up. It is a dell dimension 2400 series. Please helpHow do i get a dell desktop to reboot?NOOOOOO DONT HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON THATS HORRIBLE YOU MAY LOSE DATA!



The Proper Steps Are These:



Choice A: Click Start %26gt; Run%26gt; type regedit %26gt; HKEY_CURRENT_USER %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Desktop %26gt; Right-click AutoEndTasks %26gt; select Modify %26gt; change Value Data to 1 %26gt; Reboot computer



Choice B (RECOMMENDED) To create a one-click shortcut to shutdown the Windows computer, right click on your desktop or any folder (or click at File at toolbar), and then select New, and then click on Shortcut. A New Shortcut wizard will ask for location of this item. In the textbox, type 鈥渟hutdown -s -t 01鈥?(without quotation marks). Click on Next when done. When ask for a name for the shortcut, give any descriptive name you prefer, such as Shutdown. Then click on Finish, and you can now use the shortcut created to shut down PC immediately after click.How do i get a dell desktop to reboot?would need more info than that to diagnose your problem correctly. I would honestly just throw it out the window cause its a dell. Period. Dells are piece of **** machines with piece of **** hardware. However since you already own one i would suggest taking it to your local computer store.
