Is there a default password for dell xps m1710 laptop?

I recently bought a dell xps m1710 laptop on eBay. However, I am faced with a white screen with black writing asking for a password after I turn it on before wondows boots. I have contacted the seller but am awaiting a reply. Is there a default password set on these laptops does anybody know??
