If the dell lap top screen turned blue or red then does that mean it crashed? What should I do to prevent it?

I have a Dell Inspirion 1764 lap top which I've had for roughly 5 months. Friday while watching a movie via Comcast Fancast site the screen turn blue. I restarted it. Then today while I had multiple windows running the screen turned red. I restarted it again. I'm concerned since it turned red. Does Dell have some color warning system? Do I have a virus?If the dell lap top screen turned blue or red then does that mean it crashed? What should I do to prevent it?This is probably an issue that requires reinstalling the video drivers and reinstalling the codecs used for videos. You shouldn't multi task while running videos.
