What drivers do I install for my dell computer for sound and my modem?

This is like my 2nd question but anywho I'm on the dell website(on my friend's computer) and my computer doesn't detect my speakers or modem so I need to know what drivers do I install! There are different ones to choose from and I just need to know so I can burn it to a cd! If this was added after the system was shipped from Dell you will need to find out what brand it is and download the driver from them. If you are not looking for an internal modem then you might be referring to the network or Ethernet driver. Below I will list the drivers you need for your sound and Ethernet port to work, as well as the chipset and video. Make sure you install the chipset driver first. The drivers below are for XP, but if you need Vista drivers please let me know.

These drivers are for the system the way it was sent from Dell, if something has changed or been configured differently they might not work.

Enter your service tag, or computer model. You can usually find the model somewhere on the front (if it is a desktop computer) or on the cover (if it is a laptop) If you are still unsure just look at the label on the bottom (both laptops and desktops)

And you can find the drivers you need there. If there are multiple sound card entries you can just download each one and see which one works.
