How to I make a movie from a Mac to work on a Dell?

I have a film project due Monday. I have a Mac computer and I used iMovie to add effects, music, etc. How can I get the film to play on a Dell laptop? Because Mac files won't play on Dells due to the iMovie. Only Macs have iMovie and I need the film to play on a Dell. Do I use a CD-R, DVD-R, or maybe a hard drive in order for me to bring it to school?

Sorry if I confused you!

Please help! How to I make a movie from a Mac to work on a Dell?Save it as a non-apple-proprietary format (AVI, MPEG etc)How to I make a movie from a Mac to work on a Dell?A portable hard disk or usb-stick could be useful.

If the file is a larger file than 700MB I should use a DVD-R.

If the file is a larger file than 4.7GB I should use a usb-stick or a portable hard disk depending of the size of the file.

If the file won't load then you could try to install a codec pack.
