How do I hook up a dell 922 printer to a toshiba laptop??

We bought a toshiba laptop and it seems to not be compatable with our 922 Dell printer. I have had 3 of my computer savvy friends download programs and try to reinstall the printer from its original cd and it still won't work. I really need a printer! When you bought the printer, you got a cd with the xp driver. You need the vista driver.



Go to www.dell.com

Click on Support in the upper right.

Choose Drivers and Downloads.

Then specify your printer

You'll get to a page with drivers. The default os is XP. Drop down the box and choose Vista 32-bit.



Download the driver installer. Run it and it will create a file in c:\dell\drivers. Double click that file and you will be able to install your printer..How do I hook up a dell 922 printer to a toshiba laptop??probably need the vista drivers which probably never came on the original cd
