Easiest way to transfer files from a Dell computer to an iMac computer?

I was wondering what the easiest way is (if there is one) of transfering all of my files (music, documents, etc.) from a Dell Computer to an iMac.Easiest way to transfer files from a Dell computer to an iMac computer? If you have a network setup then you'd already know but I'm guessing you don't. With the network settings just right you can but that would not go under the category of "easy".

The easiest way may not be the fastest way either. You can simply burn your files to CDs (might be a lot?) or a jump drive (might be too small?)

I recommend getting a large external USB hard drive that is big enough to hold all your PC's files. The only thing you need to do is to make sure that it is not formatted as HFS as the Mac won't recognize it. They usually come formatted but you can do it yourself. I recommend to format as FAT 32 file system. You can do this from either the Mac or the PC.

Hook it up to the PC and drag those files to the external drive and then hook it up to the Mac and drag them onto there.

Then you can choose to keep the files on the external drive as a back-up (which is a good idea anyway)Easiest way to transfer files from a Dell computer to an iMac computer?
You can network the two, I haven't done it personally but it can be done. It also depends on how much data you are trying to move. If it's not a lot just use a thumb drive.Easiest way to transfer files from a Dell computer to an iMac computer?the easiest way i found is to buy a two way ehternet cord and plug one end in each computer. use the dell to transfer as the mac will not recognise a running windows program..... i thinkEasiest way to transfer files from a Dell computer to an iMac computer?
