Can I replace my Dell laptop keyboard standard with backlit?

I recently bought the Dell Studio 1555 which I am very happyw with, no problems yet, however, I found out (after the purchase) that you can get it with a backlit keyboard which looks amazing. I was wondering if I could change my keyboard, even if it means I have to send it off somewhere to get it done. Thanks!!!

Can I replace my Dell laptop keyboard standard with backlit?I do not believe that it is necessary, unless you work in the dark and you really cannot see the keyboard and need to when you type. I would recommend learning how to touch type in that case. It's about functionality, not looks. It's like your first car. You just need it to work, not to drive NASCAR.
