I think Charlton Heston inspired this, as he played the role of Moses and now he is President of NRA.
I liked Captain America when he threw his shield at bad guys now he is packing heat with a gun. I liked the comic Captain America but my child will never read a Captain America comic, as guns are not the solution. I don't care what was used to kill the original captain America, using a gun is not solution. The original Captain America could knock Adolf Hitler with his bare fists, but now look at what his character has become. Is the NRA behind the resurrection of Captain America?
god, guns and guts got us this far.230 years of guns making a difference.i'll stick with a gun. you cant hide behind a shield. Is the NRA behind the resurrection of Captain America?
The Republican love of guns and their vocal support of gunfire has done more to promote violence in this country than anything else. Just today, a teenager murdered his family. Every day, we read of drive-by shootings and other gunplay. Then there are the hotshot men who like to brag about how they would shoot any intruder, and incidents of Road Rage where people get shot for making a wrong move with a car. Policemen are shot at traffic stops. Teachers are shot by oddball kids. And complete strangers shoot other strangers in work places and malls.
What wonderful stuff to put in a comic book, more gunfire! I don't know if the NRA was behind it, but Captain America should actually be a hero who bans guns!
I wish to Heaven Republicans would just shut up about their guns and what they would do with them, lock them up, keep them away from their kids, and stop their constant nattering about their beloved weapons! It's no coincidence that the Red States lead the rest in gun deaths. Is the NRA behind the resurrection of Captain America?
I dont think you can pin it on the NRA, rather just the evolution of Captain America. Remember Kid and Teens are exposed to much more today, and maybe to capture their interest, they are making bigger changes to heros. Such as bring guns into the equation, also the darker versions of batman. Stuff like that.
If it is popular with kids, they will sell it. I wouldnt blame the NRA. Someone thinks its a money maker and does not care what affect these things have on kids
