Who would win between Captain America and Batman?

Don't be biased! (But if you read comics of course you'd be!) Who would win between these two? Scenario: They both mistake the other for a bad guy in a dark alley. Without talking fighting ensues and neither has help from any teammates or access to any other weapons other than the ones they carry, i.e. Cap's shield, Bat's utility belt. Before you answer please know what powers these two actually have, don't make up stuff!Who would win between Captain America and Batman?

I'd say Batman if you leave the contents of his utility belt open to the different contents it has had from the golden age Batman to the modern Batman. Different writers have added different things to the utility belt.. everything from detective instruments to small nuclear explosives. Imagine that, Batman whipping out a tiny bomb capable of nuclear fission. So depending on which Batman era and writer we're discussing, I'd say Batman has the edge. However, if you stick with mainstream Batman culture, such as the commonalities we see in Batman throughout Detective Comics #27 to present day Batman comics, then Batman is limited in what he carries in his utility belt. In such a scenario, I'd give it to Captain America, who I think would beat Batman. But if you leave the contents of the utility belt open, then Batman may have an edge.
