How do I put my movie files onto Dell Movie Studio or change their format?

I just recorded a ton of video clips with my video camera, and they are all the ".mod" format which apparently isn't supported by Dell Movie Studio. How would I either change the format of the video files, or get them on Dell movie studio some other way?How do I put my movie files onto Dell Movie Studio or change their format?JVC Everio and Panasonic D-Snap %26amp; SDR-H18 create 2 files for each video clip: MOD file (Video-MPEG2-PS %26amp; Audio-Dolby Digital AC-3) %26amp; MOI file (info like date/time %26amp; aspect ratio). The .MOD file extension can be renamed to .MPG to view the footage; however, audio will not accompany the file. When split, clips can't be imported into editing application w/o first using converter app鈥?gt; to create a unified MPEG-2 file.
