Nothing really happened.
A brave "squirmy" kid. An american at heart. A German-Jew overhears him and his failure into getting drafted. The German happened to be working on an experiment into making the a superhuman soldier. Dream comes true, Gets drafted. Becomes a "super-human". Cute braud is hot for Cap. (Insert mediocre 40 second montage of him fighting) 30 minutes later, a friend of his dies. He's upset. Boo ******** woo. He's mad. He somehow gets to the Mr. Skull. He throws his shield and Mr.Skull dies. NO EXCITEMENT WHAT SO ******** EVER! The last 10 minutes I enjoyed. Why did Captain America disappoint so much?
To be honest, I was a little disappointed with Captain America too -- possibly because the death of the Red Skull was very underwhelming (though I didn't find the character himself very interesting either). Maybe the lack of conflicts for Captain America to deal is a reason why it isn't as interesting as it could be? And by "conflicts", I don't mean literal physical fighting since there is quite a bit of that, but I mean personal conflicts (e.g. Spiderman's real life suffering from the responsibility of constantly saving people; Batman being perceived as a vigilante who causes more harm than good).
Captain America will be in the upcoming film, "The Avengers" though, which I have very high hopes for.Why did Captain America disappoint so much?
