Why would they make a movie about Captain America?

He's like the lamest superhero ever. He has no superpowers at all. Oh wait sorry, he can throw his special shield and fit into amazingly tight pants. I expect this movie to be an epic failure.Why would they make a movie about Captain America?

On a related note, The Dark Knight, based on the powerless Batman, grossed over $1 billion worldwide and won a Academy Award



Captain America will do well in theaters; from what I seen, Marvel is making sure the films aren't terrible in preparation for the Avengers film next year, whose main characters are Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man.



I mean, Green Lantern is a popular comic book hero, with very powerful abilities, but the film was very disappointing and did poorly in the box office



Besides, Captain America must be redeemed after the first attempts of a movie from 1979 and 1990,which was terrible.

4. Plenty of famous superheroes don't have powers. Batman, Ironman, the Punisher, Rorschach.Why would they make a movie about Captain America?
