I want to know more about Captain America?

I know how he became CA and about the shield, villains, and avengers. But is there more to the story?I want to know more about Captain America?
Have you read his pages on wikipedia or Marvel Wikia? That's pretty much all there is to know on him!I want to know more about Captain America?
Captain America was born during World War II when Steve Rogers, who was a patriotic but unsuitable boy who wanted to serve in the army, was asked to take a super-soldier serum which would either kill him or turn him into a superman. It did the latter but a nazi assassin killed the inventor of the serum before Rogers captured him.



Rogers was a US Government agent throughout world war two, but at the very end of it was frozen into an ice-berg in suspended animation while fighting his enemy the Red Skull and was thawed out twenty years later. He immediately joined the Avengers. The shield was originally government issue.I want to know more about Captain America?
the current Captain America is Steve Rogers' former partner Bucky Barnes. After the two got blow up during WW2 Steve got frozen in the Arctic while Bucky got turned into the Winter Soldier. Having his mind jumbled up he no longer knew who he was a killed for the Soviet Union. Then he gradually fought the mind control and became free. then worked for Nick Fury after Steve's death and took up the Captain American mantle. there's a lot more to the story but that's all the more reason to read the comic books.
