Did Sinestro cast Captain's Shield?

Ok so i dont know if i'm the only one but did sinestro cast Captain America's shield in the Green Lantern movie when fighting Hal, none of my mates seemed to notice but i swear the shield had the rings on it. also if it was Cap's shield how would sinestro know about it as they are from two alternate universes.Did Sinestro cast Captain's Shield?
